Kayaking at Cullercoats
20th October 2017
Pupils from class 10 and 11 have engaged in an Outdoor Learning experience this week, kayaking at Cullercoats Bay, North Shields. Pupils developed their knowledge and understanding of water safety and the importance of the correct equipment when engaging in adventurous activities. Pupils also needed to ensure that they communicated effectively with each other to ensure that when operating in pairs they could steer and propel the 2-person kayaks. Challenges were also set that allowed children to direct and lead other pupils.
It was a fantastic day, pupils were a credit to the school and they had a great time.
