Sport at Cleaswell Hill
Delivery of Sport
At Cleaswell Hill we deliver a high-quality physical education curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. We provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.
Physical Education at Cleaswell Hill is directed by the four fundamental objectives in the Primary and Secondary National Curriculum.
To develop pupils competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities.
To keep pupils physically active for sustained periods of time.
To engage pupils in competitive sports and activities.
To promote pupils to lead healthy, active lives.
To meet these objectives it is important that the pupils enjoy taking part in sport and have the opportunity to try a broad range of activities. With this philosophy we hope that all pupils who attend Cleaswell Hill will continue with physical activity throughout their lives.
