Core Overview
The Core Pathway provides a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that combines knowledge-rich content with the development of key skills for pupils with uneven profiles of need who require significant curriculum adaptation and therapeutic support to engage in learning and make sustained progress. Through a coherent spiral model of learning, key concepts are revisited with increasing depth and complexity, enabling pupils to secure understanding, apply skills across a range of contexts, and make meaningful connections between their learning and everyday life.

PSHEE is taught discretely as well as being embedded within our Personal Development curriculum. Please see Personal Development & Wellbeing.
Foundation subjects, including Science, are taught through a cross-curricular approach known as Core Foundation. Physical Development is taught as a discrete subject.
