Behaviour
Text
We understand that all behaviour is a form of communication. Our staff are highly skilled in recognising and responding to pupils’ individual needs, creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued and can thrive and achieve.
We have a strong and consistent whole-school approach to behaviour and wellbeing. Staff receive specialist training and use Consistent Approach Plans to ensure support strategies are personalised, proactive and effective for every pupil.
Positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with families to develop a shared understanding of each child and provide consistent support across home and school. Through communication-focused approaches, emotional wellbeing initiatives, and meaningful opportunities for pupil choice, we help pupils build confidence, independence, self-regulation and resilience.
By creating environments where pupils feel safe, connected and ready to learn, we see positive outcomes across all areas of school life. These include increased engagement, improved communication, stronger relationships with staff, reduced anxiety during transitions, fewer dysregulated behaviours and greater participation in learning and community experiences.
Our goal is to transform the lives of pupils and their families. By fostering a strong sense of belonging, wellbeing and achievement, we empower every young person to flourish both in school and beyond.
